ASTM COF Determination Instrument

The ASTM Coefficient of Friction Tester measures the ratio of dynamic to static friction by sliding a sled at a constant speed over the surface of a material. It is used to evaluate the slipperiness of packaging films, paper, and other materials, guiding production control and product application suitability.
Selection
When selecting, ensure the material type matches the testing standards, the measurement range covers the 0-1 coefficient scale, consider the structural differences between flat-plate and inclined-plate designs, verify that calibration certificates are complete, and ensure fixtures are compatible with the size and shape of the samples to be tested.
