Impact Hardness Tester

The impact hardness tester measures the rebound height of a hammer after it freely falls and strikes the surface of a sample to calculate the hardness value. It is used to test the impact resistance of materials such as plastics and rubber, and to determine whether the toughness of the material meets standards in quality control.
Selection
When selecting, consider the type of test material and thickness range to match the corresponding impact energy range. Confirm that the instrument complies with applicable standards such as ASTM D256 and ISO 179, and check the compatibility of the anvil fixture with the sample dimensions. Verify the validity of the calibration certificate and the repeatability of measurement accuracy.
