Electromagnetic yoke magnetic particle flaw Detector

The electromagnetic yoke magnetic particle flaw detector generates a magnetic field through an electromagnetic yoke to magnetize the workpiece. If there are defects on the surface or near the surface, the magnetic flux lines will become distorted, attracting magnetic particles to form visible indications. It is used to detect defects such as cracks and pores in ferromagnetic materials, commonly applied in the inspection of welded components and cast or forged parts.
Selection
When selecting, consider the shape and size of the workpiece to be inspected. The yoke opening must match curved or flat surfaces. Determine the lifting force based on material thickness, opting for smaller values for thin pieces. AC electromagnetic yokes are suitable for surface defects, while DC or half-wave rectified yokes are ideal for near-surface defects. Environmental conditions dictate whether to choose portable or stationary equipment, with low-voltage devices preferred for damp locations. Select the type of magnetic powder according to the workpiece's color and sensitivity requirements.
